Subscription and service rules
Terms of Service
These terms govern StoryViewer accounts, subscriptions, monitoring, archives, and downloads. Consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived continue to apply.
1. The parties and acceptance
“StoryViewer,” “we,” and “us” refer to the StoryViewer service operator. “You” is the account holder. Creating an account, starting Checkout, or using the service signifies acceptance of these terms. If you use StoryViewer for an organization, you represent that you can bind it. Legal correspondence may be sent to [email protected] with “Legal notice” in the subject.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live if higher. You must provide an account you are authorized to use, keep access secure, and promptly report compromise. One person or organization may not create identities to evade plan, trial, suspension, or usage limits.
3. Service description
StoryViewer checks supported publicly accessible TikTok creator feeds, attempts to capture available Stories and regular Posts, and presents successful captures in a private archive. One monitored creator covers both feed types. StoryViewer does not access private accounts, accept TikTok passwords, or provide anonymous live viewing. It is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by TikTok.
4. Capture and archive limitations
Capture is best effort. Stories may expire; posts may be deleted or restricted; providers, formats, networks, rate limits, and proxy availability may fail. StoryViewer cannot recover content unavailable before capture and does not guarantee completeness, timing, quality, uninterrupted availability, caption accuracy, translation accuracy, or permanent storage. Available regular Post history may be backfilled gradually within shared quota limits.
5. Plans and prices
Monthly USD plans are Starter at $2 for 1 monitored creator, Basic at $8 for 5, Pro at $15 for 10, and Business at $40 for 25. Applicable taxes, currency conversion, and payment-provider charges may be added or handled by the provider as disclosed at Checkout. Plan limits apply to active creator monitors and cannot be bypassed.
6. Trial and payment authorization
An eligible customer may receive one 3-day trial when the first Stripe subscription is created. Registration alone does not start the trial. The current Checkout requires a payment method and shows the future monthly charge. Unless cancelled before the trial ends, Stripe will attempt the recurring charge for the selected plan. Creating another identity to obtain another trial is prohibited.
7. Recurring billing and renewal
Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. You authorize Stripe to charge the payment method for recurring fees, taxes, and disclosed adjustments. Renewal timing, price, and cancellation controls are shown in Checkout or the billing portal. Failed or reversed payment can pause monitoring and restrict archive access.
8. Plan changes
Use the Stripe billing portal to change plans. The portal displays when the change takes effect and any proration, credit, tax, or billing adjustment before confirmation. A downgrade can stop monitors above the new creator limit.
9. Cancellation
Cancel through the Stripe billing portal from the dashboard. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid or trial access period. Monitoring then stops and archive access is restricted. Any mandatory local cancellation right remains available.
10. Refunds and withdrawal rights
Subscription charges are non-refundable after a billing period begins or a trial converts, except where applicable law requires a refund. Contact support if you believe a charge was made in error or a mandatory cooling-off, withdrawal, charge-dispute, or digital-service remedy applies. These terms do not waive mandatory consumer rights.
11. Monitoring periods, creator commitments, and archive access
Story eligibility begins when monitoring starts. Each confirmed creator occupies a subscription slot for 30 consecutive days from activation, independently of Stripe renewal dates. A locked creator cannot be removed or replaced early. After expiry, replacement closes the prior monitoring period. Historical grants and shared media remain preserved, while archive viewing requires both an eligible subscription and a current eligible slot for that creator. Resubscribing cannot fill gaps from inactive periods.
12. Customer responsibilities
You must use the service and downloaded content lawfully, respect creators and other people, verify that your purpose and use have a valid legal basis, and obtain permissions or licenses when required. You are responsible for decisions made from captions, translations, metadata, and archived media.
13. Prohibited conduct
You may not use StoryViewer to stalk, harass, threaten, discriminate, exploit children, invade privacy, infringe intellectual-property or publicity rights, evade access controls, identify private individuals unlawfully, train unlawful surveillance systems, resell account access, overload the service, introduce malware, probe another account, scrape private routes, or violate TikTok or provider terms and applicable law.
14. Creator and third-party rights
Creators and other rights holders retain their rights. Public availability does not grant you ownership or permission to republish, commercialize, impersonate, or create misleading uses. StoryViewer may verify a requester’s identity or authority, restrict access while reviewing a copyright, privacy, court, or creator-rights request, request additional evidence, and remove or restore access as applicable. Affected parties may respond or provide a counter-notice where the law permits.
15. Your content and instructions
You grant StoryViewer only the limited rights needed to process creator-monitoring instructions, support submissions, and account data to provide, secure, and improve the service. You represent that your submissions are accurate and that you have authority to provide them. You keep ownership of your own submissions.
16. StoryViewer property
StoryViewer’s software, design, branding, and original documentation remain the operator’s property or its licensors’ property. A subscription grants a limited, personal or internal-business, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service during authorized access. It does not grant rights in TikTok or creator content.
17. Feedback
If you voluntarily provide product feedback, StoryViewer may use it without restriction or payment, without identifying you publicly unless permitted.
18. Third-party services
Google, Stripe, TikTok, Cloudflare, the TikTok data API, network proxy providers, and external links have their own terms and practices. StoryViewer is not responsible for their independent services. Their changes may affect availability.
19. Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains how StoryViewer handles account data, monitoring records, archived public content, and privacy requests.
20. Service changes and availability
Features, supported formats, intervals, quotas, or plans may change to maintain security, comply with law or provider rules, or improve the service. Material changes should receive reasonable notice where required. No service-level agreement is offered unless separately signed.
21. Suspension and termination
StoryViewer may suspend or terminate access for nonpayment, security risk, prohibited conduct, legal requirements, provider restrictions, or material breach. Where appropriate and lawful, notice and a chance to correct should be provided. You may stop using the service and delete the account through the dashboard.
22. Effect of termination and deletion
Monitoring stops and access may end. Account deletion cancels the subscription and anonymizes the profile, but hashed anti-abuse records, immutable grants, necessary billing references, shared deduplicated media, legal records, and backups may remain under the Privacy Policy. Provisions intended to survive, including payment obligations, rights, disclaimers, and dispute terms, survive to the lawful extent.
23. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” StoryViewer disclaims implied warranties only where lawful. It does not warrant capture of every item, uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular monitoring purpose, non-infringement of customer use, or the accuracy of third-party data, captions, or translations. Mandatory consumer guarantees remain unaffected.
24. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StoryViewer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from the service or third-party content. StoryViewer’s liability is limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory privacy and consumer remedies.
25. Responsibility for unlawful use
You are responsible for losses and claims caused by your unlawful use of StoryViewer, infringement of another person’s rights, or material breach of these terms, to the extent allowed by applicable law. This section does not create an indemnity against a consumer where such an obligation would be unlawful or unfair.
26. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by applicable law without selecting a contractual jurisdiction that would remove mandatory rights. Contact [email protected] first so the parties can attempt to resolve a dispute informally. If it is not resolved, either party may use a court or regulator with lawful jurisdiction. StoryViewer does not require private arbitration or waive lawful collective or class remedies. Consumers retain the protections and forums that cannot be waived where they live.
27. Notices and changes to terms
Each version is dated on this page. StoryViewer will provide notice through the service or account email before a material change takes effect when required by law. If affirmative acceptance is legally required, continued use alone will not substitute for it.
28. General terms and contact
These terms and the incorporated Privacy Policy form the entire agreement for the service unless a signed agreement says otherwise. StoryViewer may assign them as part of a lawful business transfer; you may not transfer your account without permission. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues. Delay in enforcement is not a waiver. Neither party is responsible for delay caused by events reasonably beyond its control. Mandatory law takes priority. Questions, billing issues, privacy requests, content-rights requests, and electronic legal notices can be sent through the Contact page or to [email protected].
